Greetings Harvard Community and friends,

H2H Initiative invites you to join us for a lecture on Thursday, January 17 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm at Oak Forest Elementary School to meet Mark Church.  Mark works with educators around the world, helping educators to create cultures of thinking in their classrooms and schools.  He challenges teachers to cultivate thinking dispositions in students in service to deep understanding.  He will speak to us about how we can create cultures of thinking around Math and Science in our Houston schools. Mark is the co-author of Making Thinking Visible: How to Promote Engagement, Understanding, and Independence for All Learners, and consultant to Visible Thinking and Cultures of Thinking projects.  He draws upon his own classroom teaching experience and from the perspectives he has gained working with educators throughout North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.  There is no fee to attend this highly anticipated lecture, but you must register your attendance in advance to secure a seat (the lecture event is space limited.)

We hope to see you at the lecture on the 17th.  If you have any questions, or you need assistance with registration, contact us at HClubHouston@att.net for immediate assistance.

Sincerely,

Julia K. Bailey
