Hello Harvard Alumns,

Dust off your old Harvard jersey, sweatshirt or hat and show your allegiance to Harvard at our first 'Beanpot Watch Party' on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Maple Leaf Pub, 514 Elgin Street in Houston.  The puck drops at 3:30, Central Time and friends from Boston University and North Eastern clubs will join us to watch the four-team tournament for Boston's men's ice hockey bragging rights!  Come early to get advantageous seating. There is no cost to attend, but if you RSVP, we'll look for you Monday at the Maple Leaf Pub.

MORE ON BEANPOT BATTLE
The first two Mondays of February are reserved for the annual Boston Beanpot battle between Northeastern, Harvard, Boston College and Boston University.  Since the Beanpot first debuted in December of 1952, the four-team tournament for Boston's men's ice hockey bragging rights has grown into a quest for a highly sort after Beanpot trophy held in front of enthusiastic crowds in annual sellouts.  The tournament lasts two rounds, with first-round opponents rotated annually.  The second round features the consolation game and the championship game.  In addition to the tournament trophy, two individual awards are given out each year.  The Eberly Trophy is earned by the goaltender with the highest save percentage who plays in both of his team's games, while the Beanpot MVP is earned by the tournament's overall most valuable player.
