From the President...

Dear Members of Houston's Harvard Community,

Welcome to the Harvard University Club of Houston and thank you for your membership!  I am honored to serve as your club president, and I am working with other club officers to create a better than ever 2018 membership season!   Without a doubt, our Harvard Club is one of the best Harvard alumni clubs in the world.   With over 3,000 alumni in our area, the Harvard Club offers its members an exceptional network, from recent graduates to mid-career professionals to empty nesters.  Our Harvard Club is also one of Harvard’s most active, holding numerous events each year that cater to all ages and interests.  We have programs tailored to families with young children; speakers from the Harvard faculty, coaches, and prominent alumni; Discover Your City special tours; behind-the-scenes opportunities at performing arts and sports; and networking mixers and trips we often co-host with other alumni clubs.  You can see a list of past events by [CLICKING HERE].

In addition to offering cultural, educational, social, and networking events, the Harvard Club is committed to giving back to our extended community.  The H2H Initiative was established in 2015 by the Harvard Club to send Houston-area teachers, principals and educators each year to the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) to learn cutting-edge educational best practices for the benefit of students in Houston-area schools, starting with HISD.   The H2H Initiative endeavors to help improve our children’s education in a meaningful way and to build a bridge from Houston to Harvard. In addition, the Harvard Club has been active volunteering at food banks, helping in community gardens, organizing Habitat-for-Humanity days, and volunteering at local non-profit sporting events.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Harvard Club receives no financial assistance from Harvard University and is dependent on membership dues, event revenue, and donations to fund our operations and charitable work.  Consider joining us and helping us build a stronger community in the Houston area.   Club membership is open to alumni of Harvard University, including Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges and all Harvard graduate and professional schools as well as to current students and their parents.
